TechCrunch is running an article about Intuits updated GoPayment software which, illustrated above, lets you customize the application with pictures of your inventory on it. I just ordered a Square, which is free, because they only charge 2.75% fee on transactions. I don’t own a business but I like the idea and it could come in handy occasionally and with the 2.75% fee its very cheap and I would not miss the amount it takes.
GoPayment also charges a 2.75% fee but they also have a 15% per swipe fee. I have never dealt with paying for a credit card reader for a business and GoPayment does have other options if you do some higher volume sales so its safe to say its cheaper.
I hope that Square follows suit and adds the inventory features to their software, its a terrific idea.
